Ensure supply of cooking gas smooth at the earliest

With the Madhesi parties withdrawing the border blockade, the supply system is expected to limp back to normalcy, which should have a positive impact on all the economic sectors of the country. Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has already announced that the supply of fuel will return to normal soon, and private vehicles will be able to buy petrol or diesel as per their demand from any petrol pump. However, according to the NOC, the smooth supply of cooking gas will take some time. After the border blockade, the overall supply system had been badly hit, causing tremendous difficulties to the general people. More painful was the shortage of cooking gas as most people in the urban areas use it for cooking purposes, and the NOC is the sole supplier. Thus, the priority should now be accorded to making the supply of cooking gas smooth at the earliest.
