CPN-Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidya has remarked that the 16-point pact signed by the four big political parties has reinstated regression .
Chairman Baidya said so during a press conference organised to announce his party’s dissent over the agreement reached by major parties—Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, UCPN (Maoist) and Madhesi Jandhikar Forum- Loktantrik—on Monday night.
“The agreement between the four parties is regressive. Consensus on the contentious issues of constitution should be sought by holding all-party meeting,” said the CPN-Maoist leader. He said the unification process with UCPN (M) have been put on hold as the latter is a signatory of the regressive agreement.
