Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA arrested Lalasi Airi. Airi is an engineer of Division Road Office Nuwakot. He was arrested while accepting Rs 120,000 bribe.
He had demanded a commission of Rs 150,000 with a local contractor Ramesh Bhandari and the CIAA caught him red-handed while accepting Rs 120,000. The transaction had taken place in the Division Road Office's van (Ba 1 Jha 58).
A four-member team led by DSP Khem Bahadur KC arrested and sent him to Kathmandu for further investigation.
