Chairman of the Constitutional-Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee Baburam Bhattarai on Wednesday said the drafters of the preliminary constitution incorporated provisions beyond the mandate of the CPDCC and the agreements. UCPN (Maoist) leader Baburam Bhattarai was elected as the chairperson of the Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee of the Constituent Assembly . Bhattarai was declared the chairperson of the committee unopposed as lawmaker Haricharan Sah withdrew the candidacy of fellow lawmaker Ram Kumar Rai. Rai had earlier planned to file the nomination for the committee chairperson.
