Minendra Rijal is the current Minister of Information and Communications under Sushil Koirala-led government. Minendra Rijal is a Central Committee Member of the NC-D. He previously served as the Party Spokesperson. He has been the Chairperson of Apex College in Kathmandu since June 2000. He was a Member of the National Planning Commission from May to October 2002, and was a Political Advisor to then-Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. Rijal was born on October 16, 1957, and received a Ph.D. in Operations Research from New York University in 1995. He is married and has two children.
