Gamal Albinsaid is a 25 year-old Indonesian medical doctor, tech entrepreneur and socio-entrepreneur. Gamal is the Founder and CEO of Indonesia Medika. He has also developed a variety of innovative products and services including; Garbage Clinical Insurance, Portable Baby’s Enhancer, The Mother Happiness Center, Mobile Hospital, Malang Integrated Hospital Information System, among others. He has received 35 awards from both national and international bodies, including the HRH Prince of Wales Young Sustainability Entrepreneur from Buckingham Palace as well as the People’s Choice Award from California University. He is also plays an active role in developing sustainable and social innovation projects throughout Indonesia.

GCI is a micro health insurance program that uses a garbage insurance scheme as a financial resource. The project creates a system for people to exchange their recyclable garbage for health services. GCI is a new prototype and can be scaled and replicated in other cities.
