Bishnu Prasad Paudel is incumbent Finance Minister and a Nepalese politician, belonging to the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist). Paudel is elected member in the C.A. 2013 (Now converted Legislative Parliament) from Rupandehi. Paudel was a Minister for Water Resources in 2009. Before that he served as Minister for Youth, Sports and Culture in 1996. He was elected in the parliament in 1996 from Palpa District. In the 2008 Constituent Assembly election he was elected from the Rupandehi-4 constituency, winning 15880 votes.
Deputy general secretary of CPN (UML) Bishnu Paudel is taking oath as Finance Minister on Monday. The meeting of the party's central working committee held on Monday decided to appoint Paudel as the Finance Minister, according to party's secretary Pradip Gyawali. However, the party has not finalized other ministers.
