Blockade affected plan to speed up works: PM Oli

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that though he was willing for speeding up the government’s works for the welfare of the country and the people by forming a small Council of Ministers, the situation turned adverse. Addressing a programme on new constitution and accountability of service delivery organised by High Level Administration Reforms Implementation and Monitoring Committee here in the capital today, PM Oli said though he was willing for doing different tasks in a fast-track manner, the situation was adverse however he would keep on the right track for the same. He added that the nation was on the way to development and economic prosperity after the implementation of the new constitution and therefore no one should obstruct others’ rights, freedom and human rights in the name of dissatisfaction, protest and imbalance. PM Oli further clarified that the government was open in the delineation of borders therefore there was no meaning of being rigid as it could be resolved after the study report of expert team being based on fact and reality. He added that the new constitution was a great achievement as it has passed all the process from people elected body constituent assembly therefore, no one could violate it. He clarified that the constitution was issued by considering the geographical, ethnic and social diversity to strengthen the national unity. PM Oli added that people were expecting all the things to be materialized soon after abolish of the feudal monarchy however, it was immature thought as his thought of being free after 14 years’ jail term and his journey to Gosaikunda. The constitution was drafted considering the aspirations of multi-lingual, multi-ethnic and multi-religious society therefore, the constitution would go for long.
