Sadbhawana Party vice-chairman Laxman Lal Karna, who is also a senior leader form the agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front (Madhesi Morcha) has accused the government for endorsing the constitution amendment bill forcefully in the parliament. Karna said that the amendment bill is unacceptable and won’t address the concerns of Madhesi bodies and was endorsed forcefully in the parliament by the major three parties breaking rules of the parliament.
‘The constitutional amendment was done with the agreement of 4-5 parties without our consent, we encircled the rostrum in the parliament, and the parliament is obstructed when the rostrum is picketed but the rule was void,’ added Karna He further questioned that, ‘How can one accept the amendment which was endorsed breaking the rules of the parliament itself?’ None of Madhesi people concerns were addressed by the amendment bill, hence we will not withdraw protest programs from Terai districts and lift the blockade instead we are planning to announce new protest events in Terai districts in intensified ways, said Karna.
