Tension flared up in Rangeli Bazaar in Morang district on Wednesday after Madhesi Morcha decided to disrupt CPN-UML youth wing Youth Association Nepal’s programme to honour Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. The agitating Morcha cadres are determined to disrupt the function to honour the prime minister in Rangeli on Thursday and has called for a complete shutdown of the market area today.
Morcha cadres have burnt tyres on major junctions of the market and have also barred vehicles movement. Large number of police personnel have been deployed after YAN cadres said that they would build a stage later today for the programme.
