Meri Bassai is one of the popular TV comedy program in Nepal, which is aired by Nepal National Television.
Sita Ram Kattel was born in Solukhumbu district of Nepal where his early life and schooling was completed. His arrival in Kathmandu and the massacre of King Birendra Family were coincident. His family moved from Solukhumbu to Jhapa when he was a child. He used to help his father in his field while going to the school. He performed his first comedy in the school and everyone liked it. They got married in 2009.He started his career from a hit comedy show called Geetanjali, in which he worked as temporary script writer. He also worked in Jire Khursani, a famous Nepali comedy TV series for a while. After that along with Kedar Ghimire and Daman Rupakheti he created the sitcom Meri Bassai. He also visited many places around the world to perform comedy.Most popularly known as Dhurmush has also act in versatile roles. His popular caricatures include kp oli, bhuteshowr baba, khada nanda baba, khadka ji, aitay, etc. He is by far the most versatile comedian in the history of Nepal. Kunjana Ghimire was born in Lalitpur district of Nepal where her early life and schooling was completed. She used to help her father in his field while going to the school. She performed her first dance in the school and everyone liked it. So, she ran away from this field hoping to be a good dancer, actor and a comedian. Her first successful career as an actor was Meri Bassai. There, she met Sitaram Kattel and fell in love with his. They got married in 2009.She started her career from a hit comedy show called meri bassai. She also worked in Tito satya, a famous Nepali comedy TV series for a while. She also visited many places around the world to perform comedy.Most popularly known as Suntali has also act in versatile roles. Her popular caricature include Fatauri Aamai. She is by far the most versatile comedian in the history of Nepal.
