Former parliamentarians and leaders from Indian political parties have been convening debates on the Madhesh movement of Nepal in Uttar Pradesh (UP) and Bihar. The Indian leaders are organizing the campaign in the bordering towns of India in parallel with the Madhes agitation and obstruction in border check points by the disgruntled Madhes-based political parties since the promulgation of the new constitution in last September. Those involved in the debates said such events were organized in the bordering towns of India with a view to support the ongoing Madhesh movement. Locals from the towns of UP and Bihar, leaders from political parties, Madhesi leaders and other activists involved in the movement participate in these debates. India-Nepal Goodwill Committee and India-Nepal Friendship Dialouge Journey have been formed along the border with the slogan: "Forthe purpose of strengthening Madhesh movement". Central Vice-chair of Rastriya Janta Dal (RJD) of India Raghubangsh Prasad Singh and senior leaders of Socialist Party Devendra Yadav and Pappu Yadav have been leading the campaign.
