47 political leaders under the leadership of Former Prime Minister Babu Ram Bhattarai presented a reminder letter to the newly elected Prime Minister of Nepal KP Sharma Oli suggesting him to treat the blockade and Madheshi issues in two different ways. The two page long reminder letter presented to the PM Oli clearly states that the government of Nepal should treat the blockade and Madheshi issues in two different ways and its important. “Terai-Madhesh issues are our internal issues and should be solved by passing constitutional amendment bills but the unofficial blockade imposed by India is an external affairs and it should be solved with diplomatic efforts.” reads the reminder letter.
He also accused the government for delaying in talks with the agitating bodies and suggested PM Oli to solve the agitating immediately or the consequences could be devastating. After submitting the letter to the Prime Minister Oli, Dr. Bhattarai said to the media that he submitted the letter to the PM as a candidate of People.
