Dalit Nagarik Samaj threat of violence if voice unheard

Dalit Nagarik Samaj demanded the government to include the issues of Dalits in new Constitution. Thursday Morning in naya baneshwor "Dalit Nagarik Samaj" demanded the government to include the issues of Dalits in new Constitution. They wants new Constitution of Nepal should include their identity-based federalism. The president of Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (Nefin), Nagendra Kumal said, "We are firm on the issues and demands of indigenous people".

The international community has urged the political parties to return to the negotiation table in the constitution writing process adding that agreement on a new constitution was a vital remaining task. Expressing concern over the relations between the political parties marked by tension in recent days, the international community has condemned the violence or threats of violence. Today, Lawmakers form the opposition parties including the UCPN (Maoist) and Madhesi-based parties have continued to obstruct the meeting. They have been chanting slogans against following the CA procedures for more than an hour.
