One dozen security officials were injured in a scuffle when CA members attempted to break the cordon and reach for the CA chair's seat. According to Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel, Communist Party of Nepal's Chief KP Sharma Oli and Vice-chairperson Bidhya Bhandari sustained minor injuries.“CA’ incident is a result of conspiracy; more loss was averted due to our restraint,” the PM said while stressing on the urgency of delivering a new constitution to boost the country’s expedition towards progress.

PM Koirala also spoke on the difficulty in reaching a consensus due to repeated change in UCPN (Maoist) stance. “UCPN (Maoist) is skilled in changing its versions and it was difficult to find an agreement when they changed their statement over the night,” PM said. Furthermore, the PM said the international community had wished Nepal would embark on a path of peace and prosperity with the promulgation of the new constitution. “We must move forward towards peace, prosperity and development, this has been the aspiration of the national and international communities,” PM said. On the occasion, CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli condemned the vandalism that took place at the CA and called for giving a vent to the country from current impasse through promulgation of the much-awaited constitution.
