Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority chief Lokman Singh Karki came under fire on social medias after he converted on Thursday the central office of the anti-graft body to the venue for wedding of his daughter.
The central office of the CIAA n hosted the wedding reception of chief Karki’s only daughter. Those who attended the event said a large number of police personnel and civil servants were deployed to take care of the wedding reception. According to medias only close relatives were invited in the function. About 50 wedding guest were gather for the ceremony. Karki’s aides, however, defended the event. “There was no such extravaganza. It was an ordinary function. I don’t know why the media is reporting otherwise,” said Karki’s aide Bhawani Subedi.
