No help from government says earthquake victims

The government of Nepal has declared a state of emergency after a 7.8-magnitude earthquake.

Officials said that more than 2,600 people were known to have died in Nepal's most powerful quake in decades, that struck 80km east of Pokhara, about half way between the town and the capital Kathmandu.


Breaking News: 7.5 magnitude earthquake has struck in Kathmandu and all other parts of Nepal. According to U.S. Geological Survey, earthquake occurred less than 50 miles from the capital city Katmandu.
