Yet another minor earthquake in the 5.1 Richter scale shook the district, with its epicenter in Barpak VDC on Saturday. The tremors, which were also felt in the district including its headquarters at 11:25 am, have caused panic in the people again, sending them outdoors.
According to local Jit Bahadur Ghale, the tremors have caused landslide near the village while the people have rushed to an open field and school ground for safety. However, no damages and casualties have been reported. With the death toll reaching 6,621 as of today across the country in the April 25 devastating earthquake, 410 people have been killed in Gorkha.
