As temperatures drops to 1.5°C the Kathmandu Valley endured its coldest morning of this winter so far. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), the minimum temperature was recorded at 3 am. The mercury, however, gradually rose after the break of the dawn and reached 13.5°C at 11:45 am.The average high temperatures are around 15�C (about 59°F) reaching highs on average of 21°C (70°F) and dropping to an average minimum temperature of 8°C (46°F) According to the MFD, the Capital Valley will remain partly cloudy today with 100 per cent relative humidity. Meanwhile, the Northern Hemisphere marks Winter Solstice — the shortest day of the year on tuesday.
