Nepal Army rescues 39 from Sindhupalchok

Nepal Army has rescued 39 people, including nine young children, from Sindhupalchowk on Thursday. Among the injured is Police Personnel, Ram Bagale whose condition is critical.

The army has been airlifting people from Tatopani, Batase, Palanse, bringing them to Narayansthan (near Tatopani). From there they are being brought to Kathmandu in a larger chopper. The army is giving preference to women and young children first. The Disaster Assessment and Response Team under Colonel Subash Thapa has been operating around the area, on Nepal Army ’s MI 17 chopper.
