The Biratnagar Sub-Metropolitan City (SMC) has initiated action against three hospitals for directly disposing human waste into the nearby canal. The hospitals facing action are, Golden Hospital, Shree Hospital and RK Hospital in the SMC. The action was initiated after the locals complained that the hospitals were found throwing away human waste generated inside the hospital into the nearby canal; polluting it and the local environment.
