Youth outfits step into govt vaccum to help quake victims

The aftermath of the the 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Nepal, has been catastrophic. Millions of Nepalese citizens – men, women and children – have lost everything, including loved ones, their homes and their livelihoods. As of May 9, the death toll stands at 7913 and 17,871 have been injured.

The reported houses destroyed – fully and partially are 288,798 and 254,112 respectively according to the Nepal Emergency Operations CenterFrustration, anger and anguish is rising with each passing hour, as people come to terms with the scale of the earthquake and just how agonizingly slow the national response has been.
