A 35-year old elected representative of Gangrar Panchayat Samiti, India allegedly married a 6-year-old girl earlier this week.
A despicable case of child marriage has been reported from Rajasthan in which a 35-year-old man married his own 6-year-old daughter. A ward member belonging to Chittorgarh district in the state is reported to have married to his minor daughter. The accused is reported to have absconded after the villagers got to know about the fact. The menace of child marriage is yet to vanish from the world’s largest democracy.
