Protests continue across districts of Nepal

The Special Committee under the Constitutional-Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee (CPDCC) has agreed to go for a seven province-model in the new federal structure on Friday. Revising its August 8 decision, the Constitutional Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee (CPDCC)’s Special Committee decided to add one more federal unit and opt for seven-Pradesh model."Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and UCPN (Maoist) have agreed to go for a seven-province-model. I have objection to it," said Gachchhadar organizing a press meet today. According to CPDCC Chairman Baburam Bhattarai, province no 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 have remained intact. Under the new agreement, the proposed province no six has been divided. According to which the districts to the east of Karnali River have been included in province no six while those to the west in province no seven. The parties said the detailed task of demarcation of the federal provinces will be carried out by the to-be-formed Federal Commission.
