An injured Armed Police Force official, who was being taken to Janakpur-based hospital on an ambulance, was dragged out ambulance and killed on the spot. Cadres of the agitating Madhesi Morcha lynched an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of the Armed Police Force (APF) in Mahottari district Friday.The victim has been identified as Assistant Sub-Inspector Thaman Bahadur BK, who hailed from Nepalgunj. Four other security personnel who were on the seized ambulance have gone out of contact.Officer was alone and unarmed at the time, and throwing away his bag he fled for his life. They gave chase until he reached a pond at Jaleshor Bazzar and he jumped into the water to save himself.
