Also Real: Constituent Assembly (CA) members of the Nepali Congress (NC) representing Madhesi and Tharu communities have demanded that the party leadership implement the 5-point demands, which they had jointly put forth earlier. Resubmitting the demands to Prime Minister and party president, Sushil Koirala in the meeting of the party's parliamentary party today, a team of 58 lawmakers warned that they would file amendment proposals on the Bill of the new constitution against party directives to do so if the leadership fails to address their demands. Earlier, the CA members from Madhesh and Tharu communities had submitted 5-point memorandum including demands on state delineation, electoral constituency determination, ending inequality on citizenship provision and ensuring proportional representation in all sectors. Arguing that the top parties cannot move ahead with the constitution drafting process by neglecting the demands of the Madhesi and Tharu communities, lawmakers including minister Bimalendra Nidhi warned that they would file individual amendment proposals on the Bill of the new constitution if the leadership fails to address their demands.
