Indian stops oil trucks crossing into Nepal again

Most of the border points shut down India saying,"the agitating United Democratic Madhesi protest." Nepal's largest trading partner, India strongly denies a trade blockade, saying its trucks have been hampered from entering Nepal firstly due to security concerns and later because protesters were blocking the roads.Nepal- India share 27 check point now the question is why India not letting trucks to cross border from those point where there are no protest at all.

New Delhi has reportedly asked Nepal to make as many as seven amendments to address the concerns of the Madhesis and Janjatis (minority groups in Nepal). These amendments, the report suggest, have been “conveyed to Nepal’s leadership through official channels.”

New Delhi response by doing blockade in Nepal to the constitution which was passed by a clear majority with 507 of the 598 constituent assembly members voting in favor. With reopening of points bordering India, the flow of vehicles loaded with petroleum products and other goods entering the country has increased.

Customs offices in Birgunj and Biratnagar, however, remained closed more then month .Nepal is almost totally dependent on India for overland supplies following earthquakes in the spring that killed nearly 9,000 people and blocked crossings from China.
