protesters attacked passing vehicles, including ambulance

Cadres of United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) have vandalized an ambulance on Friday morning. The incident occurred at Katahari area of the district when the ambulance was heading to Biratnagar from Rangeli carrying a patient for the treatment. According to District Police Office, they vandalized the ambulance while a patient identified as a minor was inside the ambulance.

Cadres of the United Democratic Madhesi Front on Friday vandalised the house of CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal in Gaur, Rautahat district headquarters. Some windows of the house were broken in the attack, police said. A group of UDMF cadres had taken a rally to the former prime minister’s house in Gaur Municipality-3 to vandalise the building. Meanwhile, cadres of the Madhesi parties intensified their protests and strikes in Gaur today. Police said around a dozen vehicles including two-wheelers were set on fire in Gaur today. The cadres have even obstructed bicycles from plying on the roads today.
