Property worth Rs 100 million was damaged after a fire broke out in the OPD Building of the Jumla-based Karnali Academy of Health Sciences early morning today. Hospital’s Director Dr Jabed Ahamad Khan said that machines of laboratory, x-ray, ultrasound and dental endoscopy, and pharmacy were completely destroyed in the fire. The fire occurred at 2:15 am today but the reason of the incident is not confirmed yet, he said. Director Khan said total loss in the fire is about Rs 100 million including machinery tools and medicines of nearly Rs 40 million. The fire was brought under control within an hour of the incident with the help of the fire engine of Chandannath Municipality. No human casualty is reported in the incident. RSS
