Transport entrepreneurs are taking advance reservation for bus tickets for the Dashain festival from September 10. A meeting of government officials and transportation entrepreneurs held on Tuesday decided to put the tickets on sale besides postponing a planned fare hike. Thousands of people travel across the country during Dashain each year to celebrate the festival with their families. With the announcement, people queued up at various ticket counters across the capital from early morning, fearing unavailability of tickets. Every year, transport entrepreneurs open advance reservation two weeks before the Dashain festival. Majority of the people in the capital city leave for different parts of the country to celebrate the festival with their family members. The country’s biggest festival starts from September 25 this year.
