The District Market Monitoring Committee has been making the rounds of hotels and shops in Dhading, Ramnagar, Naubis, Galchi again to ascertain whether its earlier directives were being followed.Highway hotels and restaurants along Mugling-Narayangarh stretch on the Prithvi Highway lack basic hygiene and food quality, with only seven per cent hotels and restaurants found serving hygienic food. A monitoring team monitored hotels in Charaudi, Benighat, Malekhu and Gajuri along the Prithvi Highway today. The team had found most of the bakeries in the district playing with consumers’ health by using date expired, inedible and unhygienic ingredients to make bakery items. People should avoid eating at the hotels and restaurants bearing yellow and red stickers.
