According to them dry fruit business has more than doubled since couple of days, thanks to increasing festive shoppers each passing day. Popular dry fruit varieties like cashew nut, pistachio, raisin, dates, almond and walnut among others are selling high in the market as demand of these dry fruits surges during Tihar festival. “Dry fruit business is increasing every passing day,” Rajni Tuladhar, a retailer at New Road told Republica, adding “We have doing double business at present over normal times. The business will even triple from the beginning of Tihar festival.” Krishna Gupta, another dry fruits´ retailer at Ason said that he has being doing business worth more than Rs 20,000 per day lately. “Tihar is the primary season of dry fruits and the demand has surged significantly,” said Gupta. Gupta informed there is no significant change in price of dry fruits this year and the supply too is regular and effective.
