Chandrapur-based SBI Bank branch has been looted here in the district on Tuesday afternoon. According to police, a group of motorbike-borne armed gang of looters robbed the bank taking the bank staff under its control. Looters, who had come at the bank on two motorbikes, fled the scene with around 20 lakhs cash. According to SSP Sanubabu Thapaliya, District Police Chief, looters have left a motorbike in the incident site. A bank security guard has sustained injuries in his leg in the incident as he received bullet fired by the looters. The guard has been identified as Tej Bahadur Karki,50. He is undergoing treatment at Chandranigahapur Hospital.
