
Three Nepali students kidnapped in Thailand five days ago have been rescued safely through a joint operation of Thai and Nepali police on Tuesday afternoon. Those rescued -- Karna Hachhethu, Bibhus Rijal and Ronesh Shrestha -- are bona fide students at ABAC College ot Assumption University in Thailand. They were kidnapped by acquaintances after promising them a party at a pub. According to Acting Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand, Dornath Aryal, two of the nine kidnappers were arrested in the course of a raid that Thai police commandos carried out at 2 pm Tuesday at a villa located in the Mooban area of Bangkok. “Although the kidnappers are found to have inflicted mental torture on their victims, they did not subject them to physical torture.
