Central vice-president of the CPN- Maoist CP Gajurel has warned of declaring a Constitution from the streets if a constitution as per the desire of the people was not produced.CPN-M is enforcing a general strike throughout the country on January 17, demanding that the political parties dissolve the 'regressive' Constituent Assembly (CA). The party announced the general strike after reaching the conclusion that the 'regressive forces' have become dominant in the current CA and that they are 'hatching conspiracy against the possibility of promulgating a people's constitution'. The party is also enforcing general strikes in Eastern, Western, Mid-Western, central region on 10, 12, 13 and 14 January respectively.
