The 30-party front including the UCPN (Maoist) and the Federal Limbuwan Party Nepal, among others have called general strike throughout Mechi zone thereby bringing vehicles' operation to a complete halt. A leader of the Limbuwan party, Kheseham Khajum, said the new constitution should be promulgated by forging agreement among all sides. However, rickshaw and ambulances are running unhindered. No vehicles, except ambulances, vehicles of police and press, are plying on the road.
