The meeting of the Constitution Drafting Committee (CDC) of the Constituent Assembly today decided that the committee itself was capable of drafting the constitution within the stipulated time-frame provided by the CA.also, Nepal's pro-monarchy Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal threatened on Friday to launch another peoples' movement if the country wasn't named a Hindu state in the new constitution. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Bamdev Gautam, has said that the new constitution would be promulgated on coming January 22 at any cost. Stating that the new constitution would be promulgated through consensus as soon as possible, Deputy Prime Minister Gautam said it would be done even going for voting process if consensus was not forged on the disputed issues.Speaking in the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the CA today, CA chair Subas Chandra Nembang urged the leaders to forge consensus for shortening the CA rules of procedures for timely constitution.
