A couple have been rescued after being trapped in snow for a week in northen Gorkha. The normal life of the northern area in Gorkha district has been influenced seriously due to overwhelming snowfall. Six VDCs have gone out of contact while over twelve VDCs have endured chill and awkward postured by overnight snowfall. As per locale police office, the region in Samagaun, Lho, Prok, Bihi, Chumchet, Chekampar VDCSs have been secured with around two-foot profound snow sheet. Gumda , Laprak and Sirdibas VDCs have also been influenced by the whirlwind. According to the police all the phone lines and cellular mobile phones including police communication system in the northern zone of the district have quit working.
