While imparting political training to the leaders and cadres of Newa and Tamsaling state committees of the party at Khanna Garment in Lalitpur, Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) said the party should now focus on safeguarding the achievement instead of expecting much. He also said the party would be like the communist parties of Peru and the Philippines. He, however, said there was no option ahead to intensify movements inside and outside the Constituent Assembly. Dahal further said the CA members would do the needful to ensure that the achievements of the past movements including the ‘people’s war’ remain safe. Political ambition is no bad thing. Yet there is an important related element which seems to be missing in our political leaders: the ability to calculate their long-term interest.
