"Maghe Sankranti" is a famous Nepalese festival which occurred on the first of "Magh" month. According to "Bikram Samwat" Nepali calendar it is in 14th January. In "Maghe Sankranti" Festival, the sun is believed to leave its southernmost position and begin its northward journey.
