An Unidentified gang threw acid at two teenagers at Basantapur, Kathmandu today.
They were on the way to tution center at Basantapur in Kathmandu when some guys who were wearing mask threw acid on them.
Samjhana Magar and Sima Basnet were studying at a tution center in Jhoche when they were attacked with acid by some four masked persons.
Magar, a permanent resident of Khaniyapani in Ramechhap district, is said to be in critical condition while Basnet’s condition has been described as stable.
Both are students of Shanti Kunja School and were preparing for the SLC examinations. One of the victim was taken at KMC Hospital while Basnet is admitted to Bir Hospital.
The motive behind the attack remains unknown.
Meanwhile, family members of victims, expressed serious concerns over the acid-attack and demanded that the perpetrators to be brought to book as soon as possible.
