Police confiscated hundreds of bamboo brought for the demonstration

Police have confiscated hundreds of bamboo from the buses during a regular security check at Nagdhunga which are being brought to Kathmandu for the demonstration to be organised by the 30-party allaince led by UCPN-Maoist.The UCPN (Maoist)-led by 30-party opposition alliance is putting up a show strength in the Capital on Saturday for what they said to ensure a constitution based on past agreements by bringing back the ruling parties from the voting process.Big numbers of reserved buses were seen entering the Capital from various districts on Friday afternoon. The party has also warned action against the unsupportive cadres and those who deny coming to Kathmandu for the mass meeting.

UCPN-M cadres begin their demonstrations from Chabahil, Balaju, Maitighar Mandala and Lagankhel while the Sanghiya Samajwadi Party will march from Basantapur, Swayombhu. Likewise, other fringe parties will begin their stir from Koteshwor, Babarmahal and Tripureshwor among other places. Cadres of UCPN (Maoist) youth wing, Young Communist League, take part in a march past demonstration in Kathmandu on Tuesday. Members of the the party youth wing—Young Communist League (YCL)--participated in the march past program. The march past was held so as to convey the message that we [UCPN (Maoist) are coming in an effective way in our upcoming protest programs.
