A 32-year-old Nepal Army (NA) corporal Rudra Bahadur has allegedly beaten another NA staff to death using a belt after suspecting him of having an extramarital relationship with his wife. Police arrested the accused army man after two weeks of the incident on 12th March from Kerwani of Rupandehi District.
Rudra Bahadur Thapa, who allegedly killed Rohit Kumar Ojha following a dispute, was nabbed from a hotel in Badaha-2 in Rupandehi district. Ojha had gone missing from the Jawalakhel-based Artillery Directorate from February 27 this year. His body was later dug out a place near Bishnu Durbar in Shivapuri forest as per Thapa's statement. Thapa has confessed the killing of Ojha whom the former accused of having an illicit affair with his wife, according to National News Agency. Ojha’s brother Bharat Ojha had filed a complaint with the police after his brother did not return after taking a leave from Artillery Directorate based at Lagankhel for visiting Alka Hospital, on February 27.
