Canadian man has been sentenced to seven years in jail in Nepal for molesting a nine-year-old boy in that country.
Ernest Fenwick MacIntosh, 71, from Nova Scotia was found guilty of sexual assault by a court in Lalitpur near Kathmandu. He was handed a fine of one million Nepalese rupees which is equivalent to $12,600 Canadian.MacIntosh was detained by the police in December after the victim filed a complaint with police. Details of the victim were not given because he is still a minor.
Police said he lured the boy to his hotel room in Lalitpur, a suburb south of the capital, Kathmandu.
