The National Women’s Commission (NWC) has condemned the acid attack on two school girls in the Capital on February 22, saying its serious attention has been drawn towards the incident.

India plays host to Nepal in the first leg of the 2018 World Cup per-qualifier at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati today. Nepal coach Jack Stefanowski was quoted as saying by the Anfa on Wednesday that he was eager to repeat the same success against India, who have won 11 out of the 15 matches played between the two teams. “We have worked very hard for this match in the past two and half weeks and the boys are confident going into the match,” Stefanwoski told the All Nepal Football Association’s (Anfa)website. Nepal skipper Sagar Thapa said they are under no pressure against India, who are nine spots above 180th placed Nepal in the Fifa rankings. “India have had good football season and they will be under pressure to beat us. They have fresh squad and that could count on as our advantage,” he said. “We have produced several wins and draw against the Indians and I hope tomorrow’s match will be evenly contested because we are both aware of our strength and weaknesses.”
