Four school girls jump into river after poor results in Nepal

Four school-girls went missing after jumping into the Mahakali river in Darchula district on the Indo-Nepal border on Monday, said a girl who was in their company.

According to Nagariknews.com, the girls aged 13 and 14, apparently jumped into the river after returning from their school, Rastriya Higher Secondary School at Udai in the remote far-western district. They found they had failed in the annual exams, the results for which were made public in then school, said Kamala Daga who said she had also gone to “commit suicide” with the four girls.
