Fear of tall buildings may collapse in Kathmandu

Prime Minister Sushil Koirala have warned people of legal action if they were found misusing earthquake relief funds.
Prime Minister Koirala Sushil Koirala said, "I am committed to allow government authorities to take legal action to those taking illegal benefit in this time of crisis.
"He also have asked citizen to inform government if someone misuses earthquake relief funds.

The death toll caused by the massive earthquake of April 25 has reached 8,633 while as many as 21,840 people have been injured.

According to Nepal Police, 1,737 people were killed in the Kathmandu Valley, 6,394 in the central region, 450 in the western region, 57 in the eastern region and 2 in the mid-western region.

 According to the police, the devastating earthquake damaged a total of 462,646 houses.
 Of the total structures, 67,181 houses in the Kathmandu Valley, 45,930 in eastern region, 200,862 in the central region, 145,428 in the western region, 3,195 in the mid-western region and 50 in the far-western region have been damaged.
