The Manakamana Temple in Gorkha, the Gorkha Durbar, the Palanchowk Bhagwati, in Kavrepalanchowk, the Rani Mahal in Palpa, the Janaki Mandir in Janakpur, the Churiyamai in Makwanpur, the Dolakha Bhimsensthan in Dolakha, and the Nuwakot Durbar were partially destroyed.
The death toll in the Saturday Gorkha quake has reached 7,056 as of Sunday morning. Likewise, 14,566 persons sustained injuries in the tremor, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs. As many as 10,464 government buildings were completely damaged in the quake while 14,168 got partial damages. Likewise, 130,493 private houses were completely damaged while 134,963 houses were partially damaged, adds the Ministry. According to the Home Ministry, 52 persons died and 309 got injuries in the eastern region, while more than 6,149 died and 13,035 got injuries in central region; 418 died and 1,197 received injuries in the western region; two died and 25 got injuries in the mid-western region.
