Nepal earthquake: death toll rise to 7,250, 14,087 injured

Ten days after a devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck Nepal, officials said Saturday that hope of finding survivors was fading. Two days after any signs of life had been detected among the mountains of rubble that litter the capital, Kathmandu, Laxmi Dhakal of Nepal's Home Ministry said, "Unless they were caught in an air pocket, there is not much possibility."A total of 2,435 died in Sindhupalchowk alone while 1,152 in Kathmandu, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs. The quake has completely damaged 10,464 government offices while partially damaged is recorded 14,188. Similarly, 130,503 houses belonging to the people have been leveled and 135,970 got partial damages.
