Minister for Commerce and Supplies, Sunil Bahadur Thapa, has said that the Ministry has been making preparation to stockpile food stuff, grains and petroleum products for the next six months to ease the supply during the possible disaster after earthquake. At a programme organised by the Reporters' Club Nepal here today, Minister Thapa said that preparation was underway to stock the food stuffs targeting the quake-hit areas and areas at risk of flood and landslide. He added that they have directed the Nepal Oil Corporation to stock petroleum products at the main places for the smooth supply of petroleum products. The Supplies minister expressed determination that although some weaknesses were occurred in relief distribution for lack of resources, the food stuffs and petroleum products would be stored in sufficient quantity to last the next six months.
